Carlin Medical Extrusions started on the 12th April 1982, in a 250 square meter factory in Marlboro, next to the Alexander township in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1994 the plant relocated to a 1400 square meter factory in Sebenza, Edenvale, Johannesburg.
Originally Carlin Medical Extrusions began its operations as a medical extrusion company, manufacturing and supplying medical disposables to government and private hospitals.
The expertise gained in the manufacture of silicone rubber and PVC products for the medical industry allowed us to venture into the highly specialised industrial silicone rubber, TPE, TPU, TPV and polyurethane market.
